Smog Lake

It started as a normal March day. It was the first day of spring in Fogstown, which means it was the first day of the foggy season. hen the fog started that was when strange things started to occur.
Sarah and Jane were best friends, and it was the first day of spring so they made plans with other friends to go down to Smog Lake for a swim. Smog Lake got its name from the obscurring fog the hovered above it. when the children arrived they were all ready to cool down and junp in the lake. now their parents always warn them to be careful aound the lake it is dangerous but they do not listen t them anway. while they are all swimming they notice the smog is very thick today. they decide to get out and head home. while they ae swimmingJane gets stuck on something slimy. Jane screamed out to Sarah that something snagged her. Sarah tried to pull her loose buy as she did Jane let out a piercing scream. the thing around her leg had pierced into her skin. that is when it released her. sarah pulled her on dry land and checked out her leg. there were two rows of teeth marks on her calf. The teeth marks were very strange looking. there was also a strange yellow green ooze comimg out of the wounds, whatever it was had injected venom in her. Sarah took jane home and told her mom the story. when her mom chcked her leg the wounds were no longer there!!! how could the wounds have healed so fast? The thing that bit her must have been very stange.
Sarah had went home and did some research on the lake. She found out that there was a toxic waste dump nearby and they were dumping into the lake! The creature that had bit her must have been mutated by the toxic waste. Who knows What type of effects the bite could have had on her.
Spring break was over and Sarah hasn't seen Jane since the bite. When Sarah was walking to school she knocked for Jane so they could walk together. When Jane came out she looked horrible. Her skin was moist and pale green her hair was tangled and slimy. Jane didn't talk at all to Sarah on the way to school or throughout the day and during lunch she didn't even touch her food. After school Sarah saw Jane walking towards the lake. Sarah followd her and saw her enter into the water. After a moment Jane began talking outloud to herself. It seemed like someone was asking her questions. Then she dove under the water!!! She was under for about 10 minutes when something came up from the water. It was some strange monster with green flesh and webbed hands and feet with orange spots on its chest. This monster must have pulled jane under the water and eatin her. Sarah tried to get away before being spotted but the monster heard her. It darted after her and chased her all the way to the school. All the children ran and screamed. Sarah ran and was cornered. The beast stopped and looked at Sarah, then it looked at the ground and fell to its knees. When it looked up at Sarah the moster was crying....ot was Jane!!
Jane was taken to a military base where doctors and othere scientists did expierments on her and tried to decifer why this mutation happened. The lake was closed down and drained where the found tons of dead fish and bodies of missing children. But most disturbing was the fish that was in there. No one can describe how horrible it looked and was taken to the military base with Jane where they also did tests. Nobody ever heard from Jane for the rest of their lives.
